What if "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was actually a good show? What if the new Fantastic Four Reboot Flopped? What if when characters died in comics produced by the big two, they actually stayed dead (Wolverine, Superman, etc.)? What if Fox's X-Men wore costumes comparable to the ones in the comics?
Starting this October, Marvel is set to once again return to its long-running "What if" concept with five newly announced "What If?" Infinity" one-shots, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by a different artist for each issue.
The books scheduled for release are as follows:
"What If? Infinity - Thanos" illustrated by Williamson's "Nailbiter" Mike Henderson,
"What If? Infinity - Inhumans" illustrated by Riley Rossmo,
"What If? Infinity - Avengers" illustrated by Mike Norton,
"What If? Infinity - Guardians of the Galaxy" illustrated by Jason Copland
"What If? Infinity - Dark Reign" illustrated by Goran Sudzuka.
Each issue of "What If? Infinity" explores a warped take on the Marvel Universe where the Builder War had produced a different outcome.. What if Thanos had joined the Avengers to battle back the invading Builders? What if the Avengers lost the war, leaving the Earth vulnerable? What if Norman Osborn gained control of the Infinity Gauntlet, ushering in a new Dark Reign? These questions will be explored when The 'What if" titles launch in October.
